We, at Talksurgery.com, are not the only ones talking--people have also been talking about us.
At Talksurgery, we take your cosmetic surgery decision seriously. We are all about delivering information - straight from the most credible sources.
How it all started?
Eimile Robertson, Afsun Qureshi and Dejan Macesic founded Talksurgery in 1998 when a search for personal testimonials about cosmetic procedures on the Internet yielded no results.
Let's face facts.
The past five years have seen explosive growth in number plastic surgeries and cosmetic procedures. Because more people are undergoing surgery, we, at Talksurgery, feel that it was all the more important that people be completely informed beforehand. After all, it is not just a question of money but of putting your well-being in someone else’s hands. As some of our founders who have undergone procedures themselves can attest – it is very hard to know where to get information before going under the knife. How can you discern between what is factual from what is mere hype? How do you know that your doctor is board certified? What can you really expect from a procedure?
Our Mission:
At Talksurgery, we strive to empower consumers by providing complete, accurate and up-to-date information about cosmetic procedures, and thereby help people make informed choices. But, most of all, we feel that it is essential to build a community where people share their first-hand experiences of cosmetic surgery with the rest of Talksurgery’s users. Talksurgery is the only place on the Web where people can find out about a cosmetic procedure from a real person who has “been there - done that”. Finally, we bring users in touch with board-certified physicians in an effort to enable the best possible communication between the two.
