'Tummy Tuck Reality'

Pros:
I can't say yet because I am still healing and only had it done 4 days ago. I wanted to let people know what it feels like right afer surgery when you get home.
Cons:
I just want to say that I do not regret it, but that yes, the pain and recovery is a lot a lot worse than I expected. I was in good shape before surgery so I am hoping to recovery quickly, but I don't know. It hurts! Even with the pain medication it hurts. I don't know when I'll be able to stand up straight. Just moving hurts a lot more than I ever expected. I thought it would be like c section recovery which I had a year ago and remember well. It's worse. Be prepared if you decide to do it.
Cost:
$6400

Healing time:
Still healing (doine 4 days ago)

Pain-o-meter:  7

I decided to have this done because I had skin hanging after my pregnancy. I teach aerobics and spinning and feel I am in great shape. I kept getting my bodyfat tested and it was at 10% and less sometimes. I kept thinking, "If it's so low then WHAT IS THIS HANGING STUFF?!" I know that I did not necessarily NEED this done and people really did think I was crazy when I told them, but they aren't seeing me naked and they don't know the way my stomach made me feel every day.

Especially when I sat down. So I am very excited to see the results and still do not regret it at all. I can't wait to sit down and not see anything hanging over my sides. This may just be vanity, but it makes me feel good and confident. I think in the end I am going to be so much healthier because I won't be obsessing about my stomach and trying to diet when I really don't need to. So I will keep you posted on the results.
