'No More Back Pain'

Pros:
I love the way I look!!!! I had been having back problems for 6 years and was taking medication daily.
I can already feel the difference and probally won't be taking any more medication for my back.
My self esteem and confidence in myself has taken a 360 degree turn.
I feel so much better about myself and my apperance.
|
Cons:
The pain is overwhelming. I have given birth to two beautiful children and this pain seems greater. The only thing that really bothers me is that for a while, I won't be able to do certain activities with my children.

I have been having major back problem for about 5 or 6 years. My son was born in 1999 and after his birth I consulted my gyn about having a breast reduction. He informed me that I would have to talk to my PCP. I did and he put me on pain medication for about a year to see if it would help my back. It didn't so September 2001 he referred me to a plastic surgeon for a breast reduction.
My surgery was on December 5th, 2001, just recently. I can already feel the improvement with my back. I also feel great. Having this surgery has really given my self esteem a boost. I am very pleased with my plastic surgeon's work and would recommend this procedure to anyone who has back and neck problems, as I did.

Here are more details:

How results differed from what I expected:
Actually I didn't think that my plastic surgeon was going to take off as much as he did. I am pleased with his work and cannot wait until I can actually wear a bra again.

Biggest fears pre-procedure:
My biggest fear pre-procedure was worrying about if I was going to do well during surgery. I have never had surgery before where I have been put to sleep and the anesthsia is what scared me most.

Healing aids used:
I usually massage my breasts to help with some of the pain due to the brusing. I use plenty of Neosporin for the scars and I plan on using plenty of Vitamin E/ Cocoa Butter to help the scars fade in the future.
