Healing time:

My surgery was Dec 19th, 2001 -- I did all the necessary back ground checking, before & after's, all the information necessary to finalize my decision, I felt extremely confident with my decision to follow through with my Rhinoplasty, mainly because of my confidence in the surgical team.

The staff & treatment at the centre was also a big plus, TLC from start to finish. My surgery went very well, I experienced no nausea at all, I was very grateful for that. I was also very surprised to find out I had no packing, I heard that was the worst experience. I was released two hours after my surgery, had an escort take me home. I proceeded to start to work around the house, until I was told to go lay down!

I did as I was told, propped myself up with several pillows & drifted off to sleep. I had zero pain, so I had no reason to take any painkillers whatsoever.

The following morning I was anxious to get to the mirror, My face was swollen, a splint covering my new nose & a little brusing on my upper lid & not much else. My recovery went very well, I was in no pain, enjoyed a few laughs & knew my new look was just around the corner. I had my splint removed a week later, let the healing begin! Something to keep in mind, Rhinoplasty takes 6 months - a year to get the final results, the tip being the last. My tip currently feels like Pinnochio's wooden nose, I am looking forward to getting the feeling back, I have to be patient, all in good time. I was back at work Dec 28th, after the holidays, with little or no brusing. Overall much better than expected!
