I am 23 years old, I at one time weighed 240 pounds. I now weigh about 110. I lost 130 pounds all on my own, with a lot of hard work! I worked out at a gym 6 days a week for the past 5 years and I turned to a vegetarian diet. I was absolutely thrilled at my weight loss. As my doctor told me, other than the lower buttock/high thigh area, and a little bit of the lower stomach you would have never known I'd lost any weight or ever weighed 240!

I was very lucky, I was athletic and firm. My upper stomach was hard and toned. My problem was looser skin on the lower abs. Well, I consulted my doctor, who I just love, in January 2002, I am currently 6 days post op. I feel fine, still a little sore. But doing great. I had a mini tummy tuck, and light liposuction of my upper outer thigh area, but not a lot because the skin is looser in that area. I will be having a lift in that area in a few months. As far as the tummy tuck, I was awake during the procedure, laughing and talking, the lipo felt weird, the tummy tuck was fine, but when he put the stitches in, I jumped a few times.

When it was over and I was able to look down I cried! It was so great, when I sat up, there was no rolls! It was flat all the way down. I made my 2 hour drive home fine with my husband, I rested the next few days, I've been taking it easy still.

I went for a post-op check up today, and my little bandages came off, the scar is minor compared to others I've seen - its very thin. It is covered with a thong. Which is great. I would recommend this surgery, I would do it again! I am looking forward to my thigh lift, and possible breast augmentation in the future. I have nothgin but praise for my doctor and this porcedure. My nerves before surgery were the worse thing about the whole procedure.
