Laser Resurfacing Fiasco

Pros:
Open skin closes fairly quickly
|
Cons:
There was no difference and I actually have pit marks in my skin in places that did not heal. I broke out in terrible, terrible acne afterward and my skin is 300x worse than when I went in for a light resurfacing.
Even my colleagues at work cannot believe what my skin now looks like. It actually aged me and gave me acne scars, which I never had before.
|
Cost:
$650

|
Healing time:
2 weeks

|
Pain-o-meter: 7

|

I would just caution anyone before having this done. Meet people the DR has performed it on. My dermatologist confirmed that my skin is now in much worse shape and appears to have aged. My pores are now huge, like nothing I have ever seen on anyone before and makeup to cover up the redness just accentuates the newly formed pits in my skin.
Looking in the mirror has become a nightmare for me.

Here are more details:

How results differed from what I expected:
I could have never expected there would be no benefit, and that I paid to have someone destroy my facial skin....

Biggest fears pre-procedure:
Hypo pigmentation

Healing aids used:
After the sugery I cleaned the open and red skin with a saline solution for a week every 2 hours, the second week every 4 hours. I also had to apply acquaphor ointment every 2 hours which created such bad acne I could not see any part of my skin without a pimple.

Complications or follow-up procedures:

About 70 percent of young women try to lose weight. That dissatisfaction with their body weight stays with them into adulthood.
