After seeing the results several acquaintances had with this doctor, I scheduled an appointment to discuss liposuction with him -- my belly was fat and saggy. He indicated I would have better results with a tummy tuck, and also recommended I lose a lot of weight first. I lost 17 lbs. prior to the tummy tuck.
I was not nervous at all the day of surgery. The first few hours after surgery I was extremely sore, but they kept me injected with pain meds. I was kept overnight at the surgery center. I had someone with me round-the-clock for 7 days at home. At two weeks I managed to go back to work, although for only half days. I am 14 weeks post-op at this point and it just gets better and better. I returned to the gym at 6 weeks post-op and started abdominal exercises at 8 weeks. I get quite a bit of swelling when I exercise a lot, but it is not something that would prevent me from working out.
I am going back for liposuction of my back, hips, upper & lower abs (for what the TT didn't get) and my inner and outer thighs in 2.5 weeks and can hardly wait!
Overall a great experience -- I would do it again if I had it to do over again.

Our weight alone is not a sufficient measure to assess our risk for disease. Total body fat, fat distribution and the consequences of dieting must be considered as well.
